As Sarah inches towards that last day, she remembers the people and experiences that have shaped who she has become. Until her last breath, she will make a joyful noise to the Lord, thankful that her life has mattered, that she had an impact on those around her, and that she left the world a better place. Knocking on the door of her Father’s home, she will say, “God, Wonderful Counselor, Almighty creator of the heavens and earth, thank you for my life.”
O Lord, Thy Works Are So Grand
You have made the world a beautiful place.
My eyes and ears have seen and heard the stars and thunder.
Your power is seen throughout the universe.
I walk in green woods and forests and hear the birds sing.
I hear bubbling brooks and feel the spirit of the divine wind.
I pray the grandeur of purple mountains will inspire strength.
You sent Your only Son to be born in a lowly manger.
You gave Your only Son to die on a cross for our sins.
You raised Your only Son to walk on water and calm the storm.
As a child of God, He planned my life so that I would not struggle.
As a child of God, He walked beside me, hand in hand.
As a child of God, His blood and body have made me whole.
With shouts of acclamation, Christ will come to take me home.
With joy in my heart, I will bow in humble adoration.
With a love that binds us together, I will say, “O Lord, Thy works are so grand.”
