Today, I saw a man wearing t-shirt that said, “I will vote for the convicted criminal.” The criminal is the former president who has just been convicted of 34 counts of fraud in his business dealings before he was elected in 2016. What will it take for his supporters to realize what he is, Satan. Too many Americans are accepting his words and deeds as normal. Whatever happened to morality in this country? Like so many other things in our society, the truth doesn’t seem to matter any more; evil does.
In paraphrasing Psalm 28, I need to speak directly to God.
God is my rock whom I cry to this night.
I fear if I do not hear from Him, I may slip into the pit with those who have no morality.
Hear my supplications, Lord, and see my tears as I lift up my hands towards Thy temple.
Do not place me with the wicked or any one who works their iniquities.
They speak peace but do mischief in their hearts.
Give them a desert whose deeds and wicked endeavors seek to harm others.
They do not regard the Lord’s works or the things of His hands with respect.
Lord, do not build them up or give them ways to destroy others and this country.
Blessed are You, Lord, for You hear my supplications.
You are my strength and my shield as I praise You with my rejoicing heart.
The Lord is their strength, and He saves His anointed.
Save Thy people and bless our inheritance.
Feed them and lift them up forever, so that they may do good works and change their ways.
