Psalm 86, Book III, shows us that the Lord will hear our cries for mercy and forgiveness.  He will care for our souls and bless us with what we need.  He will cause those who hate us to be ashamed of their false accusations and hurtful deeds towards us.

Psalm 86

Oh Lord, hear my cries for my needs.

Care for my soul as I trust in You.

Grant me mercy as I seek Your truth.

I lift up my soul to You for You are good, forgiving, and merciful.

Hear my pleas for help and answer my prayers.

The works of worldly gods do not compare to Your works.

All nations will worship the Lord and glorify His name.

God is great and does wondrous things.

Teach me Thy way, Lord, and I will walk in Thy truth and fear Thy name.

I will praise the Lord and glorify His name forever.

Thy mercy is great toward me, and my soul is delivered from the lower regions.

The non-believers rise against me and seek violence against my soul.

The Lord shows compassion, graciousness, long-suffering, mercy, and truth towards me, a sinner.

Save me, Lord, and give me strength to do my duties as Your servant.

Give me a sign that those who hate me may see it and be ashamed of their actions.

Oh Lord, You have comforted me in my time of trouble.
