As we speak Christ’s truths in love, we grow in every aspect of our bodies towards the body of Christ, who is the head of the Church. When we say “good-bye” to 2022, we need to let go of shame, fear, hopelessness, hatred, anxiety, or anything else that has troubled us and put on the mantel of God’s truth. When we speak to others about God’s love and all He does for us, God longs to enter our hearts so that He can walk with us through our journeys every step of the way. The door to His heart is open; all we need do is knock.
Our world is in dire need of knowing the truth that when we have Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, nothing is impossible. Failures are redeemed; diseases are healed. Slaves are set free; fear is conquered. Good triumphs over evil; love is stronger than hate. Our needs are met in Christ; hope is restored. Peace prevails; joy reigns. Knowing these truths, the earth will be filled with rejoicing, and peace and good will towards all men will make all burdens more easily carried.
As 2023 approaches, let us all remember what God has done for us and speak loudly His truths. 1 Chronicles 16:11 (KJV) states: “Seek the Lord and his strength, seek his face continually.” Our goals should be grounded in “whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” (Philippians 4:8 KJV). Let us walk into the New Year with God by our side.
