Psalm 119 (Jod), Book V, asks God for wisdom, hope, mercy, kindness, and a concern of being fearful of our enemies. God made us who we are, fashioned us from clay, and has a plan for our abundant destinies. In His laws, our hearts can be sure of His love.
Psalm 119 (Jod)
God’s hands made us and fashioned us in in His image.
I seek wisdom for understanding His laws.
Those who fear Him will be glad to see hope in me by my knowledge of those laws.
The Lord judges righteously, and He has faithfully afflicted me.
According to His Word, mercy and kindness will comfort me.
As I am happy in Thy laws, allow mercy to flow so that I may live.
Just as the proud unjustly accused me and are ashamed, so I seek wisdom in Thy laws.
Let those who fear You and those who have known Thy testimonies turn to me.
May my heart be sure in Thy laws and not be ashamed; may I proclaim those laws as good and truthful.
