What does God want us to do with our lives? Our minds, mouths, moods, and attitudes are dependent on each other. If you want these things to shine with God’s love, it is never too late to start anew, even if your past has been fraught with difficulties and negativity. We choose who we will become; taking everything to God, He will guide us and make all things new. Ask and it shall be granted unto you.
Instead of dwelling on the past or present problems, we need to think about how God has guided us through all things. We can change to a more positive mindset by focusing on His promises. Our trials and difficulties help us to develop patience and perseverance if we are willing to believe that they will give us blessings after all is completed. When you choose a more positive attitude and develop grace, you can always change your direction. Strength and courage will come from your daily reading of His Word. Believe that God is bigger than all your problems, and you may find out that what you thought was a big thing is really something small.
To be humble is a strength, not a weakness. Being humble in all situations allows God’s grace to fill us and helps us to accomplish His purposes for us. We do not have to do something important to be important in God’s sight. We are important because of His love and the values He places within us. We show humility by recognizing that we need God and by relying on His grace each day. Ask Him for help, and He will shape our hearts with guidance.
A humble person asks for help; there is no “my way is the only way.” A humble person forgives others quickly, is not offended easily, and waits on God’s judgments contentedly. Patience is a strong quality in a humble person, and they never point out others’ weaknesses. In seeking harmony in their behaviors and relationships, they will always seek peaceful solutions to problems. A humble person will step aside so that others can make their contributions; they do not always need to insert their ideas and wishes into every situation. Humble people recognize their own weaknesses and admit to them.
Our words have the power to build up or to tear down, to show love or to give power to hatred. When life gets hard, our moods may sink; in those times, we need to be careful about what we say. It is hard to take back words once they are spoken. Choose words filled with faith that can change your outlook and help lift your spirits out of difficulties. Our spiritual maturity depends on what we say to others. When we do not control our words and the way we behave, our spiritual growth can be hindered and our growth can be stymied.
When we are tempted to give up in any situation, Satan uses frustration and anxiety to get us to focus less on God. When we cannot find a way out of our pain, all we need do is to put our hope in Jesus Christ, because He is the Way. We need to live as believers, not as “I will do that later believers.” Our minds, mouths, wills, emotions, and physical beings should be given to God for His use. Think of how hard it was for God to give His only Son to die on the cross so that we can have a place in His Kingdom and so that we can live positively here on earth. We will never be able to feel that amount of pain, but we can realize our responsibility to be His children in all facets of our lives.
Trusting in the promises of God helps to transform our troubles and difficulties into blessings. In choosing life, we can learn how to make life-giving decisions, not death-filled destruction. As we study and follow His Word, peace, joy, and stability can be the gifts we reap from His unconditional love. Hope is strong and depends on our confidence in His character. Regardless of what is happening, God loves us and will change our hearts for the good of others. To believe in their truths helps us to build a strong foundation for hope in everyone’s life.
What does God want us to do? He wants us to think, say, do, and believe things that are pleasing to Him. Our words, thoughts, and actions should be in agreement with His Word. We need to show gratitude towards Him and to others. Uplifting, encouraging, positive, and loving conversations with Him and others is essential to keeping your mind and speech under God’s control. “Let the words of my mouth, and the meditations of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.” (Psalm 19:14 – KJV) Most of all, pray at all times because prayer will make all things new. In your heart of hearts, put God at the center of who you are.
