The thoughts that circulate around our brains can have two effects: they can grow perfectly beautiful flowers and fruit-bearing trees or they can grow weeds that become the birthplaces of secularism, hate, arrogance, pride, and unwanted sexual attractions. Our brains are like green houses, where wonderful things grow or weeds clump in bunches of negativity and errant actions. What you are today is the result of yesterday’s thoughts; what you are tomorrow is the result of today’s thoughts. Galatians 6:7 (KJV), states “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” Within our hearts lie all of the issues of life.
Be careful of what you think because what you think is what usually happens. This is thought management. Our thoughts are the seeds that grow in our green houses, our brains; when you think and act like Jesus Christ, you are more like Him. We need to submit all of our thoughts to the authority of Jesus Christ; if we do not do this act, we are submitting our lives to the secularism of the world. Secularism spawns negative thoughts, actions, and historical events. Romans 12:3 (KJV) states, “For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.”
When it comes to sexual attractions, a man needs to honor his vows to his wife, not to others that his eyes are attracted to. 1 Corinthians 6: 18 ((KJV) states, “We should flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.” 1 Corinthians 7:2 (KJV) states, “Let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.” In other words, negative seeds of sexual attraction are forbidden by Christ’s thoughts and deeds. When we enter into marriage, our vows are truly sacred unto God and no man should try to break those vows.
What negative thoughts are disrupting your life today? Are they prideful and arrogant, or are they Christ-like and loving? Whatever seeds you have planted in your green houses, take them to Jesus Christ so that He may lighten your load and put you on His lighted path. Be “Christ with flesh on.”
