In Psalm 8, Book 1, we see the Lord’s awesome power in creating a beautiful world.  He gave us everything we have, and in that special gift, we are glorified with hope, grace, and love.

Psalm 8   

Thy name is excellent in the earth, and Thy glory sits in heaven.

Strength to calm our enemies and the avenger comes from the Lord our God.

I am in awe of the heavens, the work of Your hands, the moon, and all of the stars.

Why are You so mindful of me, a mortal man?

You gave us Your only Son and moved the Holy Spirit over Him.

You made Him lower than the angels and crowned Him with glory and honor.

You gave Your Son power over Your works, and You placed everything under His feet.

 Sheep, oxen, beasts of the field, fowl of the air, fish of the sea, and whatever moves in the seas honor You.

Thy name is excellent throughout the earth!
