I am writing this poem as I remember my private music students and countless groups of choirs, bands, orchestras, and music classes in the public schools.  My students were literally the “poets of my life.”  Understanding today’s children and future generations,  we need to engage the world with honor, integrity, dignity, and courage, so that they will have a better world than we have today.  They are asking more from us than ever before; it’s time to be the role models that they need to become leaders themselves in all fields.  Children will learn to be positive if we teach them to be; the opposite is also true.  With peace and love in our hearts, nothing is impossible.  With Christ at the center of everything we do, the world will become His beacon of light, and the darkness will never overcome it.

Because

Because you are loved, God will always be by your side.

Because you are loved, Mom and Dad will always hold your hand.

Because you are loved, I will always hold you in my heart.

Because you are strong and faithful, He will bless and keep you.

Because you are a child of God, nothing is impossible.
