I like to think I pray twice when I sing, but for the last two weeks, I have had laryngitis. A virus went directly to my vocal cords and is squeezing them. I’m not sure if my acid reflux disease is involved, as well. I hopefully will find out more tomorrow when I see the Ear, Nose, and Throat specialists. Acid reflux occurred after my second husband’s liver transplant, and the stress involved me having to carry everything for us on my shoulders, including all the expenses. The fact that my current problem also involves a virus makes me think this is a similar situation. The past four months have put a tremendous amount of stress on me because of my home mortgage being sold to a corrupt mortgage company and the hacking of my bank accounts right after Christmas. Things have settled down for these situations, but the stress still simmers in the growth of gray hairs and many sleepless nights.
I know God is here beside me, and He will not give me more than I can handle. My body might not agree, but I still pray that God will carry me. One day, I will sing again because He blessed me with a beautiful voice since my birth. Out of the rain falling in my life, there is still light at the end of these journeys. It is God’s light, and that will never stop being the beacon to my soul.
