Psalm 130:5-7 (KJV) states: “I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope. My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning. Let Israel hope in the Lord: for with the Lord there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption.”
When I am sad and find it difficult to find joy in the world, I turn in pray to God. I ask Him to hear my cries and ask for His keen ears. I know that He is loving and forgiving, and I can count on Him no matter what happens in my life. His Word brings hope to my heart, mind, and soul. My hope is passionate, and I realize that God will move mountains for me. His arms encircle me as my loving Father, and He will provide for all of my needs. I wait expectantly on Him to always love me and to let His boundless mercy fall on me forever.
With His hope, love, and light, I am a faithful believer. Pope John Paul II once said that evil fears our faith and our minds the most because with these two powerful weapons, evil will never capture our souls. To that end, I remain a child of God.
